Match report: Leeds United v Arsenal

Arsenal avoided an FA Cup upset at Elland Road as first-half goals from Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna earned a 3-1 win over Leeds United.

A strong display from the Gunners saw them safely through a third-round replay in Leeds, despite a battling performance from Simon Grayson's side.

Nasri scored after five minutes and Sagna scored in the 35th, putting Arsenal in complete control, but Bradley Johnson brought Elland Road to life immediately with a brilliant finish from 20 yards.

Alex Song and Andrey Arshavin should have wrapped up Arsenal's win early in the second half but Davide Somma came within inches of forcing the game into extra-time before Robin van Persie sealed the result with a header 14 minutes from the end.
