Despite a total of 24 players being unavailable over the course of the weekend, a patched up team including players making day returns from the Leeds Festival managed to get the required six points.

Losing the toss and being asked to field gave the best opportunity to gain the points, after a furious start to the innings fine spells from Dave Wright (4-62) and Martin Stalgis (3-82) managed to put the breaks on Follifoot before a steady recovery towards the end saw them post a total of 213.

In response a solid start was required but three early in roads left Colton looking like facing an up hill task. That was until New Zealand overseas player Chris McGoldrick put what has been a disappointing season behind him with an outstanding innings.

McGoldrick seemingly dispatched the ball to any part of the ground he wished to as he notched a season high score of 126 Not Out, he received support for an unbroken fifth wicket partnership from Dom Chalk (48 Not Out) as victory was obtained by 7 wickets.

Adidas say 'Impossible Is Nothing' and perhaps relegation could still be avoided if the team can produce two more displays along these lines.
