The difference between the two teams was the youth and speed, coupled with experience, of Yarnbury's backs.

After 3 minutes when winger Lee Mortimer ran a down field kick and linked with returning Gaz Smith, then BenMortimer for Simon Tabb to cross for the first try which went unconverted when the returning stand off missed the conversion.

Further tries for Rob Pound and Lee Mortimer were begging but both backs failed to gather the ball with the line clear. On 15 minutes semi veteran Jason Hall scythed through clacks defence to score a fine individual try from 25 metres.

Tabb again failed to convert.Simon Tabb added a penalty before Rob Pound showed good angles and pace to score near the posts and Tabb converted.He then made a jinking break up the field for evergreen Sean Craven backing up to score.

Further tries followed in the second half before the introduction of colts Will Robinson and Daniel Pound.

The latter getting a debut try from 20 metres out after good work fro Gaz Poole and Ben Mortimer.Tabb converting.

Cleck finished the game strongly and scored a deserved try after the forwards blocked a clearance attempt to force a five metre scrum.

The resulting play led to them getting over with the final play of the game.

The game was played in the correct spirit with Rob Taylor playing for cleck and all players respecting the debuts of Will and Daniel.
