You've got a budget of 50m to spend on 11 players from teams competing in the Premier League, with no limit on the number of players you can have from any one club.
All the big names are there – Terry, Fabregas, Rooney, Torres and …Bullard.
You can use either a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2 formation and you'll be able to switch easily between the two during the season.
During the season you can buy and sell any players as long as the overall value of your team is 50million or less and you follow a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation.
The skill is to mix up the cheapies with the expensive players, for every Gerrard or Torres, you need a less well-known player who will regularly get your points while not compromising your budget.
If you do need to make changes, you can make up to 30 transfers online during the season.
Players must be transferred before the earliest scheduled kick-off on any match day in order to score points on that day.
Players transferred after the earliest scheduled kick-off on any day will score points as from the following match day.
Players score points for scoring goals, setting up goals (called assists) and, for goalkeepers and defenders, preventing goals.
All players lose points for red and yellow cards and missing penalties.
The aim of the game is to score the highest number of points you possibly can – the more points your team accumulates, the better your chances of winning.
There are also a series of other leagues to get involved with including Championship, League One and League Two.
A good side will always have 11 players that play, week in week out. The defenders should be part of a solid side who do not concede too many, and if they come forward for corners and score goals, then even better.
Midfielders should be disciplined regulars who do not pick up bookings and chip in with goals and assists – Cristiano Ronaldo is the perfect example of this.
Up front you need goal machines, Emanuel Adebayor was the top scorer last season and you could do no worse than to bring him in again.
It might not be cool, but being pernickety and always double checking players' fitness and that dear friend of yours – the fixture list – will always produce good results. If you make an impulsive transfer without doing research you will lose out in the points stakes.
Reasons to play
You'll be able to set up your own individual Super Leagues to test your footballing knowledge against your mates and work colleagues, and with your own private messageboards you'll be able to keep the banter flowing all season long!
So what are you waiting for? With so many great reasons to play, get your teams in now! Good luck.
