Millwall v Leeds United: Henderson to miss Whites showdown

Millwall top scorer Darius Henderson has been ruled out of Sunday’s meeting with Leeds United.

The Bermondsey club will be without the striker as he continues to recover from the hamstring strain which forced him to miss their win over Derby County on Saturday.

Henderson, who had a penalty saved in last season’s match between Millwall and Leeds at the New Den, has scored seven times this term with his most recent effort coming in a rousing 4-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

But the former Sheffield United player is one of a number of injury concerns facing manager Kenny Jackett ahead of Sunday’s fixture.

Centre-back Paul Robinson is likely to miss the next month with an ankle problem and talented winger James Henry is rated 50-50 having tweaked a hamstring in Millwall’s recent game at Watford.

Millwall assistant boss Joe Gallen predicted another intense clash with United, saying: “The Millwall-Leeds game has turned itself into a derby game despite us being 250 miles apart.”
