Leeds United: Whites wait on compensation claim
Leeds United may be forced to wait to learn the level of compensation they will receive from Manchester City for former academy players George Swan and Louis Hutton.
The cases have been sent to a tribunal after Leeds rejected an offer of 70,000 from City for the two 14-year-olds, but a hearing due to be staged on Thursday could be delayed due to illness affecting a member of City's staff.
Swan and Hutton moved to City's academy this summer and Leeds are hoping to see a repeat of last week's decision by the Professional Football Compensation Committee (PFCC) which awarded the club an initial fee of 600,000 for England Youth International Luke Garbutt.
Like Swan and Hutton, Garbutt left Leeds' academy at Thorp Arch in July to sign for Everton, who initially offered Leeds 200,000 but saw the PFCC set a fee which could rise to 1.55m depending on appearances.
