What has happened to our club?
We have a chairman who treats the fans with distain and uses the official programme as his publicist, a team that either does not care or cannot be motivated by the current coaching staff. All this in a season that promised much more. A new broom needs to change attitudes and quick. If it was up to me I’d drop all but Snodgrass for the game v Doncaster. I’ve never been so distressed/annoyed at events in Leeds 11.
Score Prediction: Leeds 1 Doncaster 1

United have failed to beat a full opposing compliment since Millwall at home early December.
The display against Coventry was abject, commitment lacking and the substitution of McCormack baffling. The reliance on youth over experience has clearly failed and I suspect Redfearn’s last stand will see O’Brien, Bruce and Brown recalled for basement boys Doncaster.
This shouldn’t be a game viewed with trepidation, but I find it hard to make a case for Leeds winning.
Score Prediction: Leeds United 2 Doncaster Rovers 2

It’s now or never for Leeds as bottom club Doncaster visit. Tuesday’s crushing defeat to Coventry was too much for the Whites fans to bare and a vast improvement is needed asap if Leeds are to try and secure a play-off position, or even a place in the top half of the table. In my opinion, only a few that played Tuesday deserved to wear the famous Leeds shirt and it’s clear a fresh approach is needed following another embarassing week for the club.
Score Prediction: Leeds 1 Doncaster 1

United have the third of their “winnable” games on Saturday when they try to avoid a third successive defeat against Doncaster. A much-improved defensive show is required. Whilst the player “loan” policy has clearly not worked, the manager “loan” policy has not worked either. With McCarthy and Warnock currently unemployed, it is high time the managerial position was sorted to try and build some foundations for a promotion push next season.
Score Prediction: Leeds United 1 Doncaster Rovers 1

Saturday’s fixture against Doncaster should be the last in the caretaker reign of Neil Redfearn. It’s difficult to see what changes can be made to try to turn the tide following two massively disappointing results. The squad has quantity but a massive lack of quality and the team are drifting rudderless to mid-table mediocrity, with possibly worse to follow next season. I fear another dismal performance to darken the mood even further. BATES OUT.
Score Prediction: Leeds 1 Doncaster 3

Friday, February 17, 2012 at 03:35 PMI reckon Bremnerfour might have a point. If we scrape a win (dependent on Doncaster having at least 1 player sent off), then Bates will appoint NR for rest of season. if we win there will no doubt be quotes in YEP from players&NR saying how 'we are right back in it', 'great bunch of lads' etc. If we lose, there will also be usual quotes about 'having to work hard', 'need to defend better', 'great bunch of lads 'etc. it feels like groundhog day with leeds after every dispiriting defeat. Bates for someone supposedly so wise and pragmatic, seems to be happy to let matters drift, and anyone whoever asks a salient question about the management of the football club seems to be dismissed as being a trouble maker or not a true fan of the club. I think one has to question Bates' motives, as he consitently seems to show his utter contempt for the fans and tradition of the club.

Friday, February 17, 2012 at 03:27 PMIncidentally, our March fixtures are horrendous. What sad unemployed manager would want to take on Leeds at the end of Feb, given the pathetic squad and overwhelming lack of talent at their disposal. Even Bechio has been garbage this season. I really think that the current points total will be critical in our survival. Unless the club find INSPIRED leadership from board level down VERY QUICKLY, that healthy balance sheet will be overtaken by 12000 gates v League One opposition!!! I have to agree with (5) about does anyone care?! Well done Ken for taking the club to this level of humiliation. Doncaster will be relishing the prospect of nailing a few more nails into the Ken Bates coffin. BATES OUT!!

Friday, February 17, 2012 at 03:20 PMWhat a pitiful set of predictions, but total respect to one and all for their honesty. I know times have been terrible for LUFC in the past 10 years, but it is clear for ALL to see that the club looks out of control ON the pitch. We may have a nice looking balance sheet, but if the playing staff are largely c&&p, how on earth does healthy balance sheet retain credibility? At the present rate LUFC look guaranteed bottom 4 next season - and possibly this season if we are not careful. BATES OUT NOW!!

Friday, February 17, 2012 at 02:50 PMHas anyone else got to the point that they don't actually care what happens in this match? We've has some real ups and downs since I've supported Leeds but I don't think I've ever reached the point of being beyond caring before. Its just a shambles. I guess if we lose the case for appointing Redfearn will be watertight....................Diouf will probably have a storming match 1-0 Donny
BREMNERFOUR
Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:15 AMWhat are the chances that should we beat Doncaster, Bates will appoint Neil on the basis that , with LUFC first team, he has a 50% win rate? Wouldn't put it past him seeing as the players are taking the blame.

Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:00 AMOur results are not simply because of a lack of "players commitment", "confidence", "workrate", etc, the main issue is the players LACK INDIVIDUAL ABILITY AND QUALITY. No amount of training form ANY new manager, will turn second rate freebies into good footballers. .... At the start of the season ,supporters predicted "mid table", and that is exactly where we are. WE NEED TO STOP LOOKING PAST THE OBVIOUS, INVESTMENT IS KEY. This also needs to be from a NEW owner, as Bates will only ever "buy time", and even in the Premier League, would continue to scam even more wealth from much greater revenues. Leeds will never COMPETE as a "footballing power" with Bates, .... it is not necessary for his agenda.
