LEEDS UNITED: United player ratings
YEP chief football writer Phil Hay rates how Leeds United's players performed against Rotherham United last night.
David Lucas: His positioning looked suspect for the first goal but Lucas was unlucky not to see off Rotherham's penalty and he was never afforded more than minimal protection by his defence. 6/10
Andrew Hughes: The best of the defensive bunch, which is not saying a great deal. Hughes conceded the spot-kick but Reuben Reid should never have been allowed to get as far as him. 5/10
Lubomir Michalik: The one player in McAllister's line-up tall enough to dominate Rotherham's attack but he won too few headers and never gelled with partner Marques. 5/10
Rui Marques: As poor a performance as he has ever produced in a Leeds shirt. Must take the blame for the weak marking which invited goals three and four, and looked badly out of sorts. 4/10
Ben Parker: Not an easy game for Parker to get into, and despite a few searching runs in the first half, he made little impression. Failed to prevent Tonge's cross for the third Millers goal. 5/10
David Prutton: Last night's scoreline makes difficult reading, but Leeds created many good chances and Prutton worked hard to assist, even when the cause was lost. 6/10
Neil Kilkenny: One delightful pass led to United's opening goal but much of the possession he saw was less telling. Rotherham made sure they did not give Kilkenny any time to play. 5/10
Jonathan Howson: Grabbed a goal and attempted to take the game to Rotherham, even though things were falling apart behind him. The blame should not fall on United's midfield 6/10
Andy Robinson: Once again the player who tried to make things happen. Came close to scoring early on and roamed the field searching for the ball. Should retain his place in the line-up on Saturday. 7/10
Robert Snodgrass: Hit the crossbar with the game's first opportunity and also saw a header brilliantly saved late on, but there was little in between to catch the eye. Has more to offer. 6/10
Enoch Showunmi: Virtually anonymous in the first half, though he came into the match suddenly after Leeds conceded for a fourth time. Bagged himself a goal but not an outing to remember. 5/10
