Leeds United: Sheehan leaves United

Defender Alan Sheehan has left Leeds United by mutual consent.

United boss Simon Grayson told the Irishman he should find a new club at the end of last season - the 23-year-old spending most of last season on loan at Oldham Athletic and Swindon Town.

The left back joined the Whites in the summer of 2008 and made just 23 appearances.
