Celtic’s Mark Wilson is poised to sign a loan deal with Leeds United until the end of the season - according to reports in Scotland.

The 27-year-old right-back was signed from Dundee United five years ago by Gordon Strachan for £500,000, but has been plagued by injury throughout his Hoops career.

He played for the Hoops in a behind-closed doors friendly with Leeds last week.

Lets all calm down, all getting a bit personnel here, we all have our views, from one extreme to the other, but, I think we can all agree on one thing, we all love Leeds United and we hope the promised land will be reached sooner rather than later. lets keep it together folks.

We have been lucky with past Celtic signings players like veduca etc so to me it sounds very promising and a good aquisition to our team !!!! As for the moaners regarding Leeds not buying new players as anybody thought that the players are not there to be bought unless you have millions and your in the premership ! I am sure that knowing our league position later in the year leeds will buy players with premership wages to bring leeds to the next level !!! Dont get me wrong but I am frustrated too !!! MOT

I'm fed up of loan players, we already three in the first team. What's going to happen when they all leave? We'll just replace them with more loan players and by the time they've gelled in they'll be going back. Repeat to the point of ad nauseum. I feel it shows a complete lack of ambition from the club. We need to look for talent in the lower leagues instead of premier league has-beens over never wheres. We need to sort out contracts better. I hate to say it, but its not going to happen under Grayson.

Who the hell is monitoring the comments? - is it OK for 'Original Koppite' to belittle and mock anyone and everyone and 'bramley white' in particular. Do us all a favour and put a block on all his comments until such time he can submit a comment which doesn't border on being insulting at best and potentially libelous at worst.

Could somebody please explain the headline to me as Mark Wilson and Celtic Star mean absolutely nothing to me or anybody else, maybe if it read Smith re-signs on loan until the end of the season we could understand it !!!!!! A player with a worse injury list than Smith who has played in a pub league all his life and this makes him a STAR .... How about this one my little YEP Sports Jouranist morons " ANOTHER NOBODY FOR LEEDS ON YET ANOTHER LOAN BUT WE WILL SPIN IT TO MAKE HIM LOOK A STAR" ..... Please give me a chance to ask the questions all sane and reasonable fans want answers to .......

I know people are divided over Smith but I would rather Grayson have taken a chance on him than on an injury-plagued nobody. Just another insult from the Leeds United board and management. Stick with Thompson at right back, its a cb and cm we need.

61 bramley whites Bit unfair on pricks if you ask me lol. No-one on any forum should ever bring fellow posters wifekids into an argument. It's not bad manners, just disgusting. It shows the sort of person "it" is.

"Wenger who have thrown away money on transfers like it was going out of fashion." If you had any clue, you would know that Wenger probably has the best record in English football with respect to business done in transfers. His cumulative revenues far exceed his spend.

Mark Wilson whose career with Celtic has been plagued by injury since he signed several years ago and who featured in a recent "behind closed doors friendly" against Leeds where a triallist (considered not good enough to join permanently) and even Paynter scored! SG said recently that he was looking for a couple of signings that would excite the ER faithful and make us sit up and get behind the team. I think Mr Grayson was misrepresented in the press, he surely meant a couple of signings that would incite the fans. Its getting really embarrassing although I'm sure "Originalkoppite" will see the positives and applaud another loan signing.....
