Leeds United: Aston Villa return with new bid for Fabian Delph
ASTON VILLA are understood to have upped the ante in their bid to sign Leeds United prized asset Fabian Delph - by offering England Under-19 starlet Nathan Delfouneso to the Whites on a season-long loan as part of the deal.
Villa saw a big-money move for the teen sensation Delph rejected yesterday, with United also turning down a bid from a seperate Premiership club, believed to be Everton.
The Midlands outfit are now thought to have sweetened the deal by giving United the chance of taking highly-rated forward Delfouneso, 18, on loan for next term.
Delfouneso is highly-regarded by staff at Villa Park and the starlet notched goals in Uefa Cup defeats to Hamburg and Zilna last term and also in the FA Cup victory over Doncaster Rovers.
The Birmingham-born youngster, who has also represented England at under-17 and under-16 level, was named players' young player of the year and supporters' young player of the year last season.
