Leeds United: Yorkshire Radio agrees new Leeds United broadcast deal with Minster FM
Following the success of last season's deal Yorkshire Radio and Minster FM have agreed to renew the unique broadcasting partnership which brings Leeds United match commentaries to FM in Yorkshire.
The new agreement will see Yorkshire Radio's DAB Digital Radio matchday coverage and commentary continue on Minster's FM frequency of 104.7 for the 2009/10 season.
The matchday programme runs between 2pm and 6pm on Saturdays and 7pm and 10pm for midweek fixtures, and includes the best build up and reaction to the games.
Fans also have the chance to give their opinion on the Extra Time phone-in with Elland Road legend and Yorkshire Radio's expert summariser Eddie Gray after every match.
Yorkshire Radio station director Ben Fry said: "This deal makes commentary available on FM for the 2009/10 season across North Yorkshire and the Leeds area due to the huge coverage area provided by Minster FM.
"It also gives listeners the chance to experience Yorkshire Radio and find out more about our comprehensive sports coverage including Super League and being official media partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club"
David Green, Programme Controller at Minster FM, said: "The coverage was well received by football fans across North Yorkshire for the second half of last season and we are delighted to be able to give our listeners the chance to follow Leeds in what should be a very exciting season ahead"
The coverage starts on August 8 when the new League One season kicks-off when Leeds United take on Exeter City at Elland Road.
