LEEDS UNITED: Tigers silent on Windass dust-up

Hull City have refused to comment on reports that recent Leeds United target Dean Windass and Marlon King had a fight at a Scarborough casino.

The fight has been reported in a national newspaper where it is alleged ex-Whites loan signing King butted Windass and the pair had to be pulled apart by team-mates.

But the casino have played down the incident and said the players were allowed to remain following the fracas.

City chairman Paul Duffen refused to talk about the alleged incident, saying matters such as this were dealt with in-house.

A spokeswoman for the casino said: "There was a very small fracas between two players and it was all over within a minute or two.

"There were no other customers involved and it did not warrant us filling in an incident report."

A spokesman for Hull City said: "It was an unfortunate incident. The club decline to comment any further."

Both players face being disciplined by the club for the incident.

Windass has featured just three times for the Tigers this term - and has yet to start a Premiership game.

He has amassed just 40 minutes of top-flight action in two substitute appearances and has made just one start for the Tigers this term - in the Carling Cup loss to Swansea in late August.

The veteran striker, 39, recently played in a behind-closed-doors friendly for Hull at Thorp Arch, prompting a link with a move to Leeds to surface.

Doncaster and Oldham have also been linked with the striker.
