Leeds United: Owners pass fit and proper persons test

The Football League has confirmed that United's secretive owners have passed its fit and proper persons test.

The Football League investigated the individuals who control the League One club in October amid reports questioning the ownership structure at Elland Road.

Leeds are controlled by Forward Sports Fund, an offshore firm incorporated in the Cayman Islands which has a 100 per cent shareholding in the club.

The identity of FSF's shareholders and beneficiaries has never been revealed.
