Leeds United: Mac ponders striker swoop
Leeds United are on the verge of deciding whether to offer a contract to Malcolm Christie after casting their eye over the striker in training.

United invited Christie to work at their Thorp Arch training complex earlier this season in an attempt to help him win his long-running battle against injury, but boss Gary McAllister has confirmed that he is now seriously considering adding the 29-year-old forward to his squad.
Christie's spell at Thorp Arch was not originally intended to be a trial but he has featured in a number of Leeds' reserve-team fixtures and played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The former Middlesbrough and Derby County player has been without a club since the summer of 2007 and has not made a first-team appearance for 19 months, but he came close to winning a short-term contract with Leeds last season before a back injury prevented the deal.
McAllister said: "We're looking at him very closely now.
"He's had an opportunity, he's played a few games and he's fit. It's getting to a stage where there might be a decision to make.
"He's one player who's making me think and he's proven at the highest level.
"It's not that long since Middlesbrough were talking about paying 7m for him. I'm paying a lot of attention to him at the moment."
