Leeds United are to begin talks with Casper Sloth today after agreeing a fee for the Aarhus midfielder.
United will speak with the 22-year-old’s agent later this afternoon following a successful round of negotiations with Aarhus yesterday.
Sloth is out of contract next summer and is poised for a move to England after several years in the Danish top flight.
Sources in Denmark say Leeds have agreed to pay around £600,000 for a player who is also interesting French club Evian.
Sloth has been capped at various youth levels by Denmark and he became a full international in 2012.
He made his debut for Aarhus in Denmark’s Superliga as a 17-year-old and his appearances for the club number well over 100. Aarhus were relegated from the top flight last season.
Sloth is in line to become United’s 12th signing following the arrival of striker Mirco Antenucci from Ternana earlier this week.
