LEEDS UNITED: Holdsworth targets Leeds upset
Huddersfield United ace Andy Holdsworth insists victory in Saturday's Elland Road cauldron can ignite Town's lacklustre campaign.
Town were tipped as title dark horses before a League One ball was kicked this term, but their campaign has rapidly gone off the rails with the Galpharm outfit marooned in a wholly disappointing 16th place.
But victory in this weekend's derby can prove the catalyst to turning around their season, according to Pontefract-born Holdsworth, who has labelled the game as Town's "biggest of the season."
And he says the underdogs tag could work in the Terriers' favour.
The utility man, equally at home at the back or in midfield, said: "It's a massive game this weekend. Probably the biggest game of the season for us so far.
"Hopefully, we can get something there because we didn't last year; in fact we got a bit of a drubbing.
"If we can get a result at Elland Road, it could turn our season around.
"Everyone outside our club will expect a Leeds win. But how many times have the underdogs got a result?
"We will go there and see what we can do and it should be a great occasion."
