Leeds United: Crystal Palace U-turn hits Leeds United keeper hopes
Leeds United's hopes of landing Darryl Flahavan have suffered a blow - with the keeper's exit from Crystal Palace put on hold.
The future of 30-year-old - who had been told he could leave the Eagles this summer - is now in limbo with boss Neil Warnock set to ditch his policy of not naming a substitute keeper next term in the light of Football League's decision to allow clubs to name seven subs on the bench.
The pending change means Flahavan, interested in a move to Leeds, will have to wait for Palace to find an understudy for Julian Speroni before sealing an exit route.
Warnock said "Obviously with the number of substitutes we can name next season, there is more scope there for me to name a sub keeper and that's a big possibility for us.
"We would need to have a keeper lined up before we let Darryl leave."
