Ex-Leeds United coach favourite for Huddersfield Town post
Aidy Boothroyd is the red hot favourite to take over as Huddersfield Town boss, with Harrogate-based bookmakers SkyBet suspending betting on his potential appointment.
Baildon-born Boothroyd, a first-team coach at Leeds under Kevin Blackwell, was first quoted as an 8-1 shot but a deluge of cash slashed his price to 1-4 yesterday prompting the suspension.
Boothroyd, 37, left Watford before Stan Ternent vacated the Huddersfield hotseat yesterday and the promising young manager has links with the Terriers having begun his playing career there.
