Lita (Reading) – Cox (Swindon) – Lambert (B.Rovers)

Take two of the three.

Dan - Wetherby

I think we should bring back imre varadi and frank strandli. That would be a dream partnership.

David Everall

****

alan smith

or

keep with the youth team

We need someone proven in this division such a Rickie Lambert or we need an up and coming striker with bags of pace and talent.

A good premiership player on the fringe of a top 6 team would be great.

Mike

Sheffield – MOT

Robbie Fowler (lol)

To replace Beckford we should sign Jonathan Cristaldo (19) from Velez Sarsfield in Argentina. He's a young, gifted, powerful striker with a decent amount of pace who could really be a hit in League 1 and beyond. Apparently we've been scouting in Argentina, so fingers crossed.

We can have two Argies up front next season.

James Smith (Bucks White)

****

Simon Cox / Ricky Lambert / Gary Hooper

Any of the above 3 would be good and I think would get us 30+ goals next year.

Boyd from Rangers would also do a job but doubt he would drop down to League 1

Time for Bates to spend some cash on a transfer fee.

I think Leeds will struggle to attract a recognised forward able to score the amount of goals Beckford has been getting in a season. The price will be excessive and will whoever want to come to play for Leeds in League One. Beckfords peers in League One will be heading into the Championship, either with their promoted sides or transfered for a fee similar to what Leeds can expect for Beckford. Best chance, although highly unlikely, is to unearth a gem from the European leagues or lower leagues in England, possibly Scotland/Ireland.

Paul

we've already got him ~ grella (usa usa usa usa)

let's give him a shot with lucciano ~ if not there's always snoddy

CHRIS TONGE

****

Kevin Osler – Harehills WMC – Potent Sunday League Striker

Michael McManus

Leroy Lita (Reading)

Simeon Jackson (Gillingham)

Simon Cox (Swindon)

Chris (Spider),

Leroy Lita could be a good shout. He's been released by Reading and has scored goals at a higher level than League One. He's also got pace, which is something Beckford has in spades.

Don't really like the look of Ricki Lambert and some of the other names that have been mentioned. We need someone young and hungry who could improve if we do manage - here's hoping - to get into the Championship. Gary Hooper looked a really good player for Scunthorpe, but can't see him dropping down a division now. Don't know much about Simon Cox at Swindon, but he's clearly got an eye for goal.

Can't see us breaking the bank for any player though - its not Bates' way - and no lower league club is going to roll over and let us have their best players for nowt. Maybe the loan market could be be one option. Leicester had five or six Premership loans last year and they didn't do too badly.

Even Hereford had players in from Liverpool, Man Utd, etc. Either that or another foreign punt and hope we turn up another Becchio.

Arnie, Darlington

Alan Smith from Newcastle-The return of the Prodigal Son.

Len Johnston, Hythe,Kent

Simon Cox

My choices are :

1) Hooper

2) Lita

3)Simeone Jackson

if none of these play Snodders up front with Grella as back up but buy a left and right winger with pace and skill to burn.

Loan K.Nemeth form Liverpool

John Yiu

Lee Hughes (Oldham Athletic/Blackpool)

Rickie Lambert (Bristol Rovers)

Michael Owen (Newcastle United)

Deano White

Gary Hooper - Scunthorpe United; or

Gary Alexander - Millwall; or

Simon Cox - Swindon

Preferably all three!!

Steve Oates

****

Simon Cox from Swindon or Reading's Leroy Lita

David Simpson Leeds

****

Simon Cox (Swindon)

Kevin Phillips (Birmingham City)

Matthew Stephenson

****

Simon Cox of Swindon or Carlos Tevez of Man U

Jonny Grafton

****

1st choice: Billy Sharp – Sheff Utd

I would also like Will Hoskins, available on a free from Watford.

Or Leigh Griffiths, 18 year old from Livingston, could be another find like Snodgrass

Paul G - Leeds
