I heard on the radio this morning an interview Fergie had given after the game, Fergie was well flustered when the journalist asked him if he had the same commitment for Man U as he used to have, he lost it, and spoke a few choice adjectives, so, nothing new there then!
Barcelona were the better team and are deservedly "Champions of Europe", their name was on the cup when they drew with Chelsea 1-1 at Stamford Bridge (and we all know what went on there)
I always thought that Barcelona could win the champions league, even without two or three of their star players, Barcelona had their game plan perfectly mapped out, never allowed Man U into the game (it was obvious that they had done there homework on how to play them) took their goals well, Man U's heads dropped, and never looked like scoring
As a supporter of Leeds United I am hoping that one day we will be playing Barcelona again, but for now, I will say well done Barcelona you are worthy Champions..

Thank you Barca. The world is a slightly nicer place today, the air seems cleaner, the birds singing louder, and it seems that many more people have a spring in their step.
I put it down to the dark side of football has been put in it's place, for once the corporate machine that passes as a football club has come up short. Perhaps the tide is turning in favour of all that is good and proper in the world. If so, give it 5 years, Leeds champions of Europe, "they who must not be mentioned" stuggling in League 2, or even better gone out of business.

Huge credit to Man United for getting to the Champions' League final two years in a row. Rather than congratulate Barcelona (who played very well) we should be proud, as English football supporters, that we have teams who can compete with the very best in Europe.

Fantastic football from Barca they gave the red side of Manchester a footballing lesson.
It won't hurt too much for a lot of the plastic red devils, they can always buy a barca shirt on their next trip to the sports shop.

I noticed that with Platini's bunch there and the whole world watching that Ferguson's behaviour was not normal. He wasn't off his seat at regular intervals screaming obscenities at the 4th official and waving his arms around cursing the referee for every decision that went against him.

So what happened?? Shirts the wrong colour? Grass too long/short/green? "bad" (i.e. Un-biased] refereeing? Didn't put in enough practise at whingeing/diving/penalties, didn't get enough extra time to catch up?? OR, maybe just got caught out (for once] by a proper football team and decent match officials. Gawd, even without Beckford – we'd at least have given Barca a game!!

Absolutely brilliant play from Barcelona, and thankfully Man Utd were disappointing. Also showed how fair a game is when its not officiated by biased officials. It has kept arrogant Man Utd fans quiet. They're loud and celebrate for days when they win, yet the Glory Hunters hurt little and go under when they lose.

Manchester United are a fantastic outfit and I may be one of the very few Leeds United fans that respect them for their achievements, they were unlucky last night as a few of their star performers like Ferdinand and Christiano were not on their game - but they will be back challenging again next season, I'm sure of that. Well done to Barcelona though, another truely great team!
