sorry about simon, but basic mistakes caught up with him in my opinion ie defence still very poor most goals conceeded in this division despite 6 center halves on books, danny pugh bought for 500 thou simply not good enough,Simon had too many fav's underperforming yet play week in week out,yet bromby, nunez, etc play well when in but then dropped to bench. Too many loanees just getting match time before going back to parent club can't have loyalty just avoid getting injured. Main thing wrong at our club is the motel man ,developing us into another chelskie village and doing nowt with cash for the team Next manager...........surely not the hated foul mouthed Warnock but out of work so no compensation now that could just suit Bates,my choice would be Gus Poyet. so ends another dull week at elland road avagudun...mot.......coe

#77 Freepint, will the club really benefit in time? Bates is about to embark on his retail and hotel dream, which underperformed so badly when he did the same things at Chelsea they nearly brought their club its knees. Chelsea FC's own website, in their Ground History, reckon it saddled their club with huge debts. What's the betting that the Lowfields developments will be done on finance, crippling LUFC the same as they did CFC?..... and #78 Paz, I can only dream about "good and top-notch" experienced and top-class managers coming to Elland Road. Let's hope so. We'll need one, but can he perform under the tyranny of Chemical Ken? MOT

Grayson's replacement has to be very good and top-notch, otherwise his sacking will be in vein. Please Mr Bates splash the cash on at least a new top class and experienced manager.

The simple fact is that a huge percentage of our annual income is being spent on non-footballing projects. Whilst the club will benefit in time from Billy's Bar, the Bremner Suite, the Radebe Suite, Howard's Restaurant, the New Pavillion & the massive East Stand development, it has all been at the expense of the playing squad. The big worry is that Bates hasn't finished with his building projects & we'll soon see work starting on the Lowfields Road retail development & the much trumpeted hotel. In the mean time the actual football team will continue to struggle on a shoestring budget with the new manager no better off than the last. All we, the fans, ask is for a 'reasonable' percentage of our vast income to be spent on the team. YEP - I'm not satisfied with our transfer dealings in the last 5 years!

The signings were good we just need to offload at least ten players, bates it's spot on about Grayson building a large squad and it not workin, when you look at the cost of wages we should be in the mix, and it is about quality not quantity, we need warnock ASAP he has passion and drive what he can push through the team and drive them up, his reputation speaks for itself, Grayson is a lovely man but he ain't got that fire and fighting spirit.

Not surprised or particularly disappointed about Grayson going but the issue is now who's next. This is a typical cynical move by Papa smurf to make the move that most people have seen coming for afew months now so that whoever it is won't have any money to spend. i.e. whoever it is will be working under the same restrictions and regime. Grayson hasn't helped himself with some of his signings and fallings out with players but the fact remains that there is no money to spend after you know who has taken his cut !! What has been disappointing is how Grayson has changed. What I really used to like about him was his honesty and straight talking. This has changed into nonsense manager speak over the last few weeks. The nonsense he came out with last night after the game being the best (worst) example ..................... Aaaaaargh, this could get much worse befor it gets better !!!!!!!!!

i,m no fan of grayson because i believe he was in on the scam of conning fans and supporters, but if i am wrong, then i will say that he didn't really have much of a chance with regards to signing quality players with real money or any money at all. if i,m right then we,ve all been done, and if you want to turn over, the powers that be can do you on the other side. me i,ll try n stay as neutral as poss because i have an illness called lufc, but its the only illness i would ever welcome into my life. i just feel more for those who,ve spent heaps of cash travelling and watching utd, all over the place. i,ve not spent much coz i aint got much, but even if i did i still wouldn't line these con artists pockets.

Good riddance Grayson. You have no self esteem. Your treatment of players has been a disgrace. Warnock in as manager with Derry back as club captain is the best outcome. Bring some passion back to the team which Grayson as eroded to nothing.
