After a magnificent comeback at Burnley, the league leaders lay in wait at Elland Road for what will be a real indicator of United's progress this season. Victory and many pundits may start to take us seriously and as genuine promotion contenders. Neil Warnock will bring his QPR side to LS11 on the back of their first defeat of the season and will be looking for a response from his players. I predict that Leeds will be jumping through Hoops come 5pm on Saturday.

Leeds can move within three points of the leaders with victory against Neil Warnock's side who tasted defeat for the first time last weekend.

Hopefully, O'Brien will return to bolster the Leeds defence exposed too often at Burnley. United have recovered from going behind in recent weeks but this is a game to strike first and continue the momentum built up over the last eight games. I can only see a glut of goals once again with United edging it to ensure a happy Christmas for the Whites.

Following the euphoria at Turf Moor, United face a tough test against league leaders QPR who hadn't lost in the league until they were defeated by Watford last weekend. Andy O'Brien looks doubtful for Leeds, though it would be nice to have him back to strengthen the back four – Collins is nowhere near as strong and O'Brien was forming a good partnership with Bruce. United need to carry on where they left off at Turf Moor and take the game to QPR who can be beaten.

After the Royals and the Palace, it's the turn of Queens Park Rangers to visit Elland Road on Saturday afternoon. Fresh from their first league defeat of the season, the London club will be looking to bounce back against a buoyant United who are now eight games unbeaten, lie in fourth place and arrive full of confidence on the back of last week's memorable comeback at Burnley. Former Tottenham man Taarabt will need to be closely watched.

I didn't think that we would be heading into the Christmas period with a crunch tie at the top of the table at the beginning of the season. I realistically think that we can pull off a victory against the Championship leaders at Elland Road tomorrow. Form is with us and we should now have the belief that we are promotion contenders. I'm sure that QPR will provide tough opposition but with Snoddy, Gradel, Becchio and Howson on form, we will win this one.

Prediction: Leeds United 3 QPR 1
