Leeds United v QPR: Meet the referee

Cheshire's Scott Mathieson has regularly handled Leeds fixtures during the club's time in the Football League.

And he refereed last season's draws at home to Charlton and away at Hartlepool.

His CV shows almost 20 years as a National List official but he never progressed into England's Select Group and has predominantly handled lower-league fixtures this term.

Forty yellow cards and one red in 16 games is an unspectacular disciplinary record, and Mathieson rarely strays beyond that sort of average.
