Horsforth St Margarets U-10s are crowned league champions

Horsforth St Margarets U-10s Yellow (B) and Blue (A) have been crowned Keybury League Champions after wins at home against Thackley.

Horsforth St Margarets U-10s Yellow (B) ran out 8-2 winners to seal their league. Their top scorer for the season was Alex Wiggons with 27 goals.

Horsforth St Margarets U-10s Blue (As - managed by Steve Pattinson) won 5-0 with goals from Mitch Pattinson (2), Zack Davies, Will Noel-Flint and Kristian Smith.

The team of eight players, including Nicky Myers, Euan Newbury, Evan Saunders and Joe Baxter have played all 22 games without subsitutes.

In a long season, they have held off the challenge of Menston, Guidesley, Shipley and Silsden. The season ended with an unbeaten run of 14 games. The 22 games saw 17 wins, 2 defeats and 3 draws, the team scored 61 goals (with Mitch Pattinson top scorer with 20 followed by Kristian on 18 and all outfield players scoring at least twice).

The defensive record with equally good with only 14 goals conceded, keeping 12 cleansheets.

Both team celebrated wildly in the mud and brought a happy end to a hard-fought season. HSMAFC presentation day will take place on 1st June 2008.

All boys move up to 11-a-side next season.

The Horsforth tournament is on June 21 and June 22.
