Horsforth St Margaret's U-12 girls crowed league champions
Horsforth St Margaret's U-12s girls have been crowned league champions with a game to spare.
They beat Crossley 6-2 to lift the Division One title.
This was the crunch game, for the girls, Crossley were the biggest threat to the title challenge; however they were hit for six by another strong performance from a confident HSM.

In the first minute HSM scored after Grace picked up on a mistake in the Crossley defence to power home the first of five great goals.
Two minutes later a great through ball from Hollie led to a shot from Grace that was just over. There was no mistake the next time. Hollie won the ball in midfield and after a neat exchange of passes Grace slotted home the second goal of the game.
Crossley looked off the pace, and rarely threatened in the first half – due mainly to strong tackling from Emily and Charlotte, and a commanding performance from Molly.
Meanwhile the talented Crossley forward just could not get away from Helena, and Vicky and Hollie ran their legs off on the wings to ensure that the equally impressive Crossley wingers had to keep tracking back.
There haven't been many goals scored from corners this season, but Emily's amazing volley into the top corner of the net made up for all of those near misses, and also made it 3-0 at half time.
In the second half the game became much more even, as the ball went backwards and forwards like a tennis match.
Vicky and Rachel had several shots on goal that the goalie just managed to keep out, whilst Molly had her first shots to save as Crossley played themselves back in to the game.
Gradually Crossley started to win the ball in midfield, and got a deserved goal after a good flowing move. Not long afterwards Crossley had a second after a debatable handball decision went unpunished, and a good shot on goal left Molly with no chance.
In the last match to Crossley – in similar circumstances, HSM collapsed to a defeat, but not this time. Grace showed her class with a great individual goal and then another brilliant goal shortly afterwards to spark wild celebrations from the away supporters.
Further chances followed at both ends, with Grace and Hollie both unlucky not to score.
However a sixth goal did come and it demonstrated the team work that has made HSM champions. Grace picked up the ball and ran at the defence, Hollie and Ellie ran into great positions, taking their markers with them – leaving Grace free to coolly put her away her fifth goal of the game.
