This was Rangers' first loss in five games for the club and a fantastic performance for the 11 lads that showed up.
On another day Rangers would have scored eight plus goals but found themselves against a Kippax keeper who was pulling off quality save after save.
With Long, Mansell, Fowler and Symonds missing due to other commitments and Piper injured, Rangers found themselves down to the bare bone.
The Rangers goal was scored on the hour mark after a well delivered cross from Paul Hallett was converted by Robert Saturday. It was a textbook finish with the right foot from close range.
