Turf Talk: Kirby booking suggests a '˜big run' is expected from Supersta at Chelmsford

Trained by Mick Appleby having spent his early career with Ron Harris, he took his form to a whole new level in the spring. The first time he won for Appleby was from a lowly rating of 60 at Wolverhampton in October 2015. Since then he has won another five races and now resides on a perch of 94, which is as good an example as any of Appleby’s talents.

That was his first start for nearly six months so he was entitled to be rusty, however, he was in no way disgraced in finishing fourth behind the well-backed Charles Molson.
