SPRINTER Sacre can continue our decent start to 2015 with even money looking too good to miss in the Sodexo Clarence House Chase at Ascot tomorrow (3pm).

Sprint off down to the bookies!

Tea For Two landed us a nice touch at 9-2 in last weekend’s Lanzarote Hurdle and the winners have continued to flow with Toowoomba too good at 2-1 at Wincanton yesterday.

And confidence is high that Sprinter Sacre will continue the run with the bookies offering evens about a horse who has 23lbs in hand on his rivals. If tomorrow’s Ascot feature was a handicap, Sprinter Sacre would be giving Dodging Bullets nearly two stone in weight yet instead they race off levels.

The bookies are dangling the evens carrot because Sprinter Sacre has not run since pulling up with a heart problem in December 2013 and the ground might be too soft. But Henderson would not persevere with the multiple Grade One winner unless he was showing glowing signs at home and he won’t need to be anywhere near his best to beat tomorrow’s rivals who – at his best – he would eat for breakfast.

There’s a 1-6 chance running at Haydock who should hack up – The New One (2.05pm) – yet it could be argued Sprinter Sacre should also be long odds-on.

Other fancies are Kiama Bay (1.30pm Haydock) who was miles clear when falling at the final fence last time and the progressive Emirates Skycargo (1.25pm Lingfield). Here’s hoping our winning run continues!
