Guiseley exit FA Trophy

THERE was heartache for Guiseley, who bowed out of the FA Trophy with a 1-0 home reverse to Tamworth.

Lee Askham and Dave Merris went close for Steve Kittrick's troops, but the decisive moment arrived 13 minutes from time when sub Jerome Murdoch settled a scrappy game with the winner.

A stoppage-time leveller denied FC Halifax Town three points in a 3-3 draw at Mossley in First Division North of the UniBond League.

Town had only just taken the lead, courtesy of Richard Marshall's 88th-minute penalty with other goals coming from Danny Lowe (10) and James Dean (75).
