Three teams boost league
THE West Riding County Amateur League will kick off the 2009-10 season on Wednesday, August 19, with regular Saturday matches starting three days later.
Three new clubs have been accepted into the league. AFC Emley Reserves and Westbrook YMCA will play in Division Two, while Huddersfield YMCA will play in the newly-named Division Three – the old Reserve Division. South Bradford have resigned from the league, while Dynamoes have disbanded.
Meanwhile, Meltham Athletic's Neil Moorhouse has been named the top club secretary of the season for 2008-09.
The programme of the season award went to Steeton, while referee of the season was Stephen Craven. Robbie Field (Storthes Hall) received the League Special Award.
