GUISELEY and York City have handed long trips south on the opening day of the National League season on August 6.

The Lions make the journey to Eastleigh, while the Minstermen’s first game back in the Conference following their relegation from the Football League is at Maidstone United.

Meanwhile, Conference newcomers North Ferriby United play host to Braintree, while ex Villagers manager Billy Heath will start out life as manager at National League North outfit FC Halifax Town at Nuneaton.

Harrogate Town face a trip to Worcester City and Bradford Park Avenue visit Gainsborough.

Meanwhile, other highlights of the season for Guiseley see them welcome Wrexham in their Nethermoor opener on August 9.

They entertain York in an eagerly-awaited derby on October 4 and make the reverse trip to Bootham Crescent on November 29.

Over Christmas, Guiseley host Lincoln City on Boxing Day and head to Sincil Bank for the reverse fixture on New Year’s Day.

The Lions end the season at home to Solihull Moors on April 29.

Meanwhile, York’s first home game is against Macclesfield on August 9, with their Christmas games seeing them visit North Ferriby United on Boxing Day and host the East Yorkshire outfit on Boxing Day.

They end the campaign at home to Forest Green Rovers (April 29).

Heath’s first home match in charge of the Shaymen is against Altrincham on August 9.

Home derbies against Harrogate Town and Bradford Park Avenue take place on August 29 and September 24 respectively.

Halifax visit Darlington 1883 on Boxing Day with the reverse fixture taking place at the Shay on January 1.

Halifax finish the campaign at Chorley on April 29.
