Guiseley produced a simply sensational performance and overcame a power cut to beat York City 6-1 to finally register get their first win of the season.
It was not a good start for the home side though after York took the lead when Matt Fry was given a free header.
But the hosts were soon level when debutants Jermaine Hylton and Jake Cassidy combined well. It was a sign of things to come.
Leeds loanee Alex Purver scored from 25 yards out bhefore Will Hatfield scrambled a shot home to make it 3-1.
Jordan Preston soon made it 4-1 in an incredible 15 minute spell but that was not the most dramatic thing that happened as the floodlights went off for nearly an hour.
After the long delay, the tempo was not where had been previously but Guiseley got a fifth when Hylton deservedly got on the scoresheet.
Guiseley then made it six when defender Rob Atkinson scored on the volley with a fine finish, allowing Guiseley’s long-suffering fans to finally celebrate three points.
