Farnley Sports go on goal rampage

DAZ Davis and James Rutherforth led the way with four goals each as Farnley Sports went goal crazy with a 12-0 annihilation of Squinting Cat – to move four points clear at the top of the Leeds Red Triangle Jackson Trophies League.

Kyle O'Reilly played second fiddle with a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, second-placed Super Eagles saw their wings clipped in a 4-3 home reverse to Halfway House, with Ryan Hartley, Matthew Agar and Steve Leeman among their scorers.

Danny Cullen struck a double in Leodis' 3-2 victory at Drighlington Adwalton, while Wayne Nock, Brian Tunstall and Jamie Mitchell were on the scoresheet in Railway Ardsley's 3-1 defeat of Cricketers Arms.

James Hughes proved double trouble for Skinners Arms in third-placed Bainbridge United's gritty 2-1 success.

Craig McDonagh struck twice with Colin Gales, Jason Stevenson and Steve Cooper also netting in Gate's 5-2 victory at Leeds Ventura, while second-placed Halton Moor slipped up in a 1-1 stalemate with East Leeds, Steven Copley netting for Moor.

Mark Gunjal was left to rue his fortune, with his double failing to deliver anything tangible for Dewsbury Road Social, edged out 3-2 at Wyebeck Arms, whose scorers were Neil Myland, Steven Teeling and James Moran.

Stephen Steevas and James Cowling struck doubles for Seacroft WMC in their comprehensive 6-1 dispatching of Ekhaya, with Aaron Dix and Colin Law also on target for the hosts.

Kippax Welfare hit the goals trail, netting eight without reply at easybeats Middleton Park, Richard Smith firing a hat-trick and Alan Smilie tagging on a brace.
