FA Trophy replay: Farsley AFC knocked out by Curzon Ashton
Farsley AFC bowed out of the FA Trophy despite dominating in the 2-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton.
Jordan Goodeve’s freak clearance with the help of the strong wind put Curzon ahead on 41 minutes.
Farsley had a number of chances and Ryan Watson went the closest with his wind-assisted corner.
But Farsley were caught on the break and Chris McDonagh tapped in at the back post to seal it with five minutes remaining.
Meanwhile, Farsley’s divisional rivals Ossett Town face an FA Trophy replay this evening, when they play host to Stocksbridge Park Steels.
A last-minute goal from Kevin Sanasy snatched Phil Sharpe’s men a 2-2 draw at the top-flight side at the weekend.
There is a derby in First Division North, where Garforth Town entertain Wakefield.
In Northern Counties East League Division One, Hemsworth Miners Welfare welcome Worsbrough Bridge, AFC Emley travel to Rossington Main and Yorkshire Amateur entertain Louth Town.
Harrogate Town are in action in Blue Square Bet North, travelling to Workington, while FC Halifax Town play host to Hyde.
