Deadly Douglas shoots down Park

KARL DOUGLAS produced a five-star display for East Leeds in their 8-1 blasting of Middleton Park in the Leeds Red Triangle Hainsworth Premier.

Playing second fiddle to Douglas' five-goal salvo was Michael Douglas (2), with Ryan Mitchell adding to the tally.

The Gate also hit the goal trail with six in their 6-0 victory at Amaranth, Evan Cooper and Kris Staniforth hitting doubles.

In the Albert West Sports Award Cup, goals from Christopher Wock, Darren Bevis, Jamie Gibson and Wade Wock saw Railway FC sink Ekhaya 4-2.

Lee Myland was on target with a treble in Wykebeck Arms' 5-3 win at Squinting Cat, with Danny petty and Steven Keeling sealing the nap hand.

Scott Morley was also in red-hot form with four in Cricketers Arms' 6-2 romp against Bainbridge United, while Matthew Hussain bagged a brace in Leeds Ventura's 3-2 reverse to Super Eagles, whose scorers were Prince Offei, Chris Morley and Fernando Masso.

Action in the Metcalfe Sports Challenge Cup was headlined by Farnley Sports, James Rutherford taking the applause with four in their 8-2 demolition of Drig Adwalton.

Kyle O'Reilly, James Offal, Daz Hullah and Matty Cunningham completed the bumper haul.

Matthew Wilson also hit the straps with four in New Farnley Cricket Club's 6-1 humbling of Leeds Deaf, Jason Boshell and Ashley Wells adding further strikes.

Dewsbury Road Social hit six in a 6-2 blasting of Merlins, thanks to strikes from Graham Stockdale (2), Ryan Legg, Mark Gunjal, Glen Fulthorpe and an own goal.
