Cooper to the four for rampant Gate

IT was another huge win for table-topping Gate FC in the Leeds Red Triangle Hainsworth Premier as Steven Cooper's four goals helped the side thrash Kippax Welfare 10-1.

The win takes Gate 10 points clear of second-placed Wykebeck Arms who were 2-1 winners over Halton Moor in the Mark Kirkham Cup.

Neil Myland was the hero with both goals while Timos Waldock replied for Halton.

Elsewhere in the division, a Damian Curtis hat-trick steered Seacroft WMC to a hard-fought 3-2 win at Amaranth – a result that helped them to leapfrog Dewsbury Road Social into fourth spot.

Dewsbury Road could only take a point against Churwell New Inn in a 1-1 draw. Martin Jackson scored for Churwell to cancel out Mark Gunjal's goal for the home side.

A hat-trick from Simon Bradley and a brace from Simon Barraclough propelled Middleton Park to an impressive 7-2 success against bottom side AFC Leeds while Ekhaya FC were also in goalscoring form in their 5-0 drubbing of Merlins.

In the Jackson's Trophies league, Farnley Sports maintained their 14-game unbeaten start to the season with a comfortable 4-0 win over Super Eagles.

The Eagles had no reply to a brace from James Rutherford and goals from Daz Hullah and Kyle O'Reilly.

Halfway House recorded a 3-2 win at home to Driglington Adwalton thanks to goals from Harron Wheelhouse, Neil Banville and Matthew Agar while Bainbridge United kept their promotion push going with a 5-1 thumping of Squinting Cat.

The other game in the division saw Leodis battle to a 2-1 victory at home to Railway East Ardsley, thanks to goals from Lee McKenzie and Steve Jackson.
