Cooper hits four in Seacroft thrashing

RAMPANT Leeds Red Triangle Hainsworth Premier leaders Gate hit ten at Seacroft WMC – Stephen Cooper hitting four in their 10-0 rout.

Colin Gale played second fiddle with a hat-trick with Gavin Kell, Matthew Duffy and Craig McDonagh also netting.

Paul Cochrane and Andrew Mannion struck in Wyebeck Arms United's narrow 2-1 success over Ekhaya, while Richard Smith and Allen Smilie were the marksmen in Kippax Welfare's 2-0 success over Leeds Ventura – still without a win.

Mark Jackson fired home four goals in Churwell New Inn's 5-0 romp against East Leeds, while Dewsbury Road Social played out a 2-2 draw with Amaranth.

A seven-goal thriller saw Merlins hold sway in a 4-3 win over Middleton Park, whose scorers were Skot Howey, Ryan Brough and Danny Addinhall.

Darren Buttery, Simon Buttery (2) and Jamie Dearlove struck for Merlins.

In the Jackson Trophies League, it was a good day for the top four with frontrunners Farnley Sports obliterating Drig Adwalton, James Rutherford firing a four-goal salvo in a 7-0 victory.

Also on the mark were Daz Hullah, Liam Horner and Phil Middleton. Second-placed Super Eagles eased past Cricketers Arms 5-1 while James Hughes and Simon Burke were the marksmen in third-placed Bainbridge United's 2-1 triumph at Leeds Deaf.

Alan Moss was at the double for New Farnley Cricket Club – handily placed in fourth – who disposed of Railway 4-1.

Mark Cartwright struck twice in lowly Squinting Cat's 3-3 draw with Leodis, Lee McKenzie netting twice for the visitors.
