Celts make triple swoop
Farsley Celtic boss Neil Parsley has made a triple signings swoop, writes James Grayson.
Long-term Celts target and prolific striker Lee Ellington has put pen-to-paper and joins from Stalybridge Celtic after netting 75 goals in 188 games at Bower Field.
Parsley said: "We've signed Lee to come here and score goals.
"Lee's a proven goalscorer and it's a fresh challenge for him and that's important."
Ex Ossett Albion utility man – and current Farsley CC captain – Dave Syers also arrives, with Parsley revealing the club beat off interest from Guiseley, Harrogate and Halifax to sign him.
Parsley said: "He's a versatile player and he wants to play in midfield and his desire fits in with the role I had for him.
"He brings athleticism, youthfulness along with a drive and his fair share of goals, so he'll be a good asset."
Released York City winger Liam Shepherd has also signed on with the club.
