Celtic line up some four-some friendlies

Farsley Celtic have arranged four friendlies as they prepare for the new Blue Square North season.

Their home game against FC Halifax has been moved from Sunday, July 26 to Tuesday, July 21 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Neil Parsley's men will entertain Leeds United under-18s/reserves on Friday, July 24 with a 7pm start.

They travel to Garforth Town on Tuesday, July 28 (7.30pm) and two days later visit Yorkshire Amateur (7.30pm).

Meanwhile, Celtic have launched a ladies team for the 2009-10 season which will begin life in the West Riding Women's League second division.

Last year's under-17s girls' boss Rob Womersley will take the manager's reigns for their inaugural season.

Following a highly-successful 2008/09 for both the Garforth and Craven League teams, Farsley Celtic under-15s are looking to recruit players in all positions for next season.

There will again be two teams, one playing in the Leeds League and the other in the Craven League.

Players must be born after August 31, 1994.

Open trials are being held at Springbank School, Wesley Street, Farsley, on Tuesday, June 9, 16 and 23, from 6pm until 7.30pm.
