ROBERT BORDMAN hit a last-minute winner as high-flying Ossett Albion took the Christmas Bank Holiday Monday bragging rights with a 3-2 triumph in the EvoStik League First Division North.

Goals from Andrew Hawksworth David Brown were in vain for the hosts against a Dominic Riordan strike and Bordman double.

Brighouse Town left it late to seal a 2-1 verdict at home to Scarborough Athletic. Peter Davidson’s 48th-minute own goal put Brighouse infront but Jamie Forrester levelled with 19 minutes to go. Adam Wilson then hit an 85th-minute winner.

Farsley Celtic enjoyed a 4-0 success at Spennymoor Town with second-half goals from Aaaron Hardy, Ross Daly, Lewis Nightingale and Paul Walker. Harrogate Railway’s hosting of Clitheroe was postponed, as was Goole AFC’s home clash with Lincoln United in First Division South.

In the Premier, Frickley Athletic were pegged back to a 1-1 draw at Whitby Town after leading through Jacob Hazel on 11 minutes.

Michael Roberts levelled from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time.
