Sunday District Cups: Thorpe nets four in Seacroft cruise

DANNY THORPE was the star man for South Seacroft as they progressed to the final of the Leeds and District FA Sunday District Cup with a resounding 5-0 victory over Acorn (Bramley).

Bramley Town booked their place in the final following an excellent 5-2 away success at Millshaw Park Rangers.

There was an epic clash in the semi-final of the Sunday Jubilee Cup when Western Juniors booked their place in the final following a dramatic 7-6 penalty victory over AFC Travellers.

The game finished 5-5 after extra-time before the spot-kicks decided matters.

In a Jubilee Cup quarter-final encounter, West Leeds Farnley made it through to the next round thanks to a 5-2 victory over Wortley Knights.

In the Seymour Memorial Trophy third round, Wrenthorpe Rangers enjoyed a 4-1 away victory at Henry Boons. Wrenthorpe will now play King George FC in the semi-finals.

The match between Woodman Sports Club and Nostell Miners Welfare (Sunday) was postponed.
