Charlie Parnell-Wilson bagged a brilliant five-goal haul as Wortley Juniors Under-14s stayed unbeaten with a 5-3 win over visiting title rivals Leeds City Juniors Under-14s in Division One of the Garforth League.

Parnell-Wilson fired Wortley into an early first-half lead but Juniors were pegged back by an Oliver Pickering goal for the visitors.

Wortley, though. played some scintillating football in the second half and raced into a 5-1 lead through some fantastic finishing from Parnell-Wilson.

City then bagged two consolation goals through Kia Herbert and Ollie Pickering.

Elsewhere, Hall Green United Under-16s B were chinned 1-0 at Shelley Under-16s B in Division Three of the Huddersfield League.

United squandered several shooting opportunities and were unable to convert their chances into goals despite a Green player of the match display from Jordan Yardley who was tenacious in midfield.

Kirkstall Crusaders Under-14s stung hosts Wrenthorpe Rangers Hornets Under-14s 2-0 in Division Three of the Garforth League thanks to captain Barney Mguni’s brace of goals.

Salman Din took the player of the match award for Kirkstall for whom Adam Smith and Caleb Masiyiwa also shone, giving ‘keeper Travis Byrne a quiet morning.

Drighlington Juniors Under-13s stayed top of Division One of the Huddersfield League with a hard fought 5-2 home win over Batley Under-13s.

Despite going 2-1 down, Drig’ deep with another Ross Mchale hat trick and a each for Kyle Murtagh and Jake Curtis.

Elliot Robson was impressive in defence but Mchale took the Drig’ player of the match award.

In Division Two, Drighlington Juniors Under-13s B lost 2-0 at runaway leaders Battyeford Under-13s.

Drig; lined up with only nine men due to injuries but battled on with Ben Harris taking their player of the match award.

A second successive hat-trick from Mason Spencer helped Wrenthorpe Rangers Under-13s to a 4-1 victory at Wakefield Jets Under-13s in Division Two of the Garforth League.

Centre half Robert Pretty netted the other goal – his second in his last two games – as Rangers made light work of playing the majority of the game with 10 players after losing a player to an early injury

The Wrens player of the match award went to Oran Cosimini.

Runway leaders Hall Green United Under-12s romped to a 9-3 victory at home to Birchencliffe Under-12s in Division 5B of the Huddersfield League.

Green went 1-0 down but roared back, led by hat-tricks from Dalton Jackson and Emily Sykes who netted a penalty.

Green’s Dovydas Burtulis added a pair of goals while player of the match Joshua Topp notched a typical edge of the area stunner.

Amaranth Juniors Under-12s moved to the top of Division Four of the Garforth League with a 5-0 victory at Wortley FC Colts Under-12s.

James Lacey opened the scoring in the fourth minute with further goals then added by James Lacey, Franky Watson, Jonas Ndombasi and Augustina Joksas.

Hall Green United Under-11s were edged out 4-3 at Lepton Highlanders B Under-11s in Division 4B of the Huddersfield League.

Lepton drew first blood in the first half and while Hall Green United’s Cian Small equalised, Highlanders then bagged two more after the break.

Green pulled another goal back through a long range effort from Neel Rangoo but Lepton again restored their two goal advantage.

United’s Cian small reduced the arrears but the damage was done, despite a Green player of the match display from Daniel O’Neil.

Hall Green United Under-10s A were in action against King Cross Under-10s and netted twice through Noah Harding and Daniel Myers.

John Morton and Jack Copley shared the Green player of the match award for their impressive defensive displays.

Kirkstall Crusaders Under-10s were in goal-scoring form in two goals against Carlton and Rothwell Giants Under-10s.

In the first game, Kirkstall’s Rohan Tafesse hit a hat-trick and Matthew James bagged a brace, with Jamie Fozard, Cian McGill and Lucky Moyo also netting. La-trell Evans was the sole Kirkstall scorer in the second encounter.
