HUNSLET CLUB Juniors Under-12s earned their first win in over a year after thrashing Stanningley Albion Under-12s 7-2 in the Garforth League Division B (9-a-side).

Hunslet went 2-0 down but came roaring back as Both Bradley Frost and Edgar Cassandro both scored twice. Mario Sabino, Connell Kilbane and Elvis Oguwuike also netted to give Hunslet that long-awaited winning feeling.

Elsewhere, Kirkstall Crusaders Whites Under-17s maintained their 100 per cent record with a 4-3 home win against visiting Gipton juniors Under-17s in Division 2A and 2B.

Adam Walwyn scored his fifth goal in as many games with Jason Prior and a Kyle Wilcock brace completing the scoring. Ryan Blackburn took the man of the match plaudits.

Silkstone Under-17s beat 3D Dynamos Under-17s 8-1 in Division 3A of the Huddersfield League. James Dyson and Jonas Tolhurst both hit hat-tricks with Danny Casswell and man of the match Chris Riley also netting.

Hall Green Under-16s were chinned 5-4 by Shelly Under-16s in Division Four. Goals by Eliot Schofield, Dan Shuman, Jake Wassell and Joe Rainton saw Green fight back from being 3-0 down.

Kirkstall Crusaders Under-15s edged past Leeds City Under-15s after a penalty shoot out 5-4 in the Garforth League Cup. The game was all square at 1-1 after full time and extra time with Luke Thompson netting for Kirkstall.

Horsforth St Margaret’s Under-15s lost their 100 per cent record in a 3-2 defeat against Garforth Villa Under-15s in Division One. Horsforth twice levelled through left-back Callum Hamilton and fellow defender Tom Sugden before a late Garforth winner.

Hall Green Under-15s lost 8-6 against Meltham Under-15s who led 7-2 at the break in Division Three of the Huddersfield League. Braces from Dan Harder and James Smith plus goals from Adam Margison and Brandon Hewlett gave Green respectability.

Otley Town Under-15s won 6-2 against Ilkley Juniors Lions Under-15s in Division B of the Harrogate League. Amongst the scorers were Will Mullens, who scored twice, Brogan O’Donnell and Erik Arter.

Otley Town Under-14s demolished Knaresborough Celtic Hoops Under-14s 9-0 in Division C. Elliot Ambrose scored four alongside a first-half hat-trick from Martin Ponton. Town’s David Stretch and Sam Ostrowski also netted.

Horsforth St Margaret’s Under-14s exited the Leeds and District Cup after losing 4-2 against Hunslet Under-14s who struck twice at the death. Horsforth goals from Kadafi Mulula and Louie Gibson who was set up by club captain Sam Roper were to no avail.

Colton Juniors Whites Under-14s thrashed Bramley Phoenix Hurricanes Under-14s 11-4 in the Garforth League Division Four. Captain marvel and man of the match William Lobley scored four goals, including a rare header. But flying winger Charlie McDonnell also scored four with Luca Amini, Jack Murray and substitute James Brady also netting.

Ossett Town Juniors Under-14s romped to a 6-1 success at Kippax Athletic Juniors in Division Two. Bailey Holderness smashed in four for Town whose Joseph Smith and Elliott Hewitt also netted. Louis Allison and Louis Conyers shared the Town man of the match award.

Farsley Celtic Juniors Under-14s enjoyed a 4-2 success at Garforth Rangers Juniors Blue Under-14s in Division Two. A Jake Flynn double was supported by strikes from Kane O’Donoghue and Jacob Kellett.

The valiant nine-man Kirkstall Crusaders Under-14s fell to a 3-0 loss against Garforth Rangers Under-14s in Division One. Kirkstall’s Jack Arnold took his side’s man of the match award.

Ossett Town Juniors Under-14s edged a 7-6 thriller at home to Batley Under-14s in the Huddersfield League Cup. Callum Issott bagged four for Town whose Adam Berry, Josh Cartledge and Thomas McGhee bagged one each. Kieran Salmon took the Town man of the match award.

Ossett Town Panthers Under-13s were pipped 5-4 by visiting Shelf Under-13s in Division 4A. James Leonard, Reece Cowan, Callum Burden and Lewis Cartledge all netted for the Panthers whose Harrison Firth scooped their man of the match award.

Ossett Town Panthers Under-13s booked their place in the next round of the Millennium Cup with a 5-3 success at home to Beeston Under-13s. Two braces from Callum Burden and Reece Cowan were supported by a strike from Ben Fishman who shared the Panthers man of the match award with Seb Fealy.

Garforth Villa Under-13s won 4-2 in extra-time against Wheldrake Under-13s in the Selby League Cup. Jacob Bues equalised late on to take the game beyond 90 minutes before a hat-trick from James Richardson gave Villa the victory.

Otley Town Under-13s came way from Nidd United Under-13s with a 2-1 victory in Division B of the Harrogate Junior League. After debutant Otley goalkeeper Joe Goodwin was unluckilly beaten, Otley’s Harry Steval equalised for Otley before Ben Thompson bagged the winner from a goal-mouth scramble.

Gildersome Spurs Under-12s suffered an 8-1 reverse at Glen Juniors Under-12s in Division One of the Garforth League. Spurs were 5-0 down at half-time but Matthew Hazelwood scored a second half consolation. Goalkeeper Mikey O’Brien took the Spurs man of the match award.

Alwoodley Under-12s moved top of the (9-a-side) Division B after a 5-0 win against Kirkstall Crusaders Under-12s. Jordan Marcus scored four with Tyrell Mason adding the fifth. Kyle Emmett was named as man of the match.

Hall Green Under-12s were beaten 6-1 by Shelf Under-12s in Division Three in the RCD Huddersfield League. Green’s Alex Welch took the player of the match award with Brandon Powell the best attitude winner.
