A humbling 6-1 defeat for Halton Moor signalled the end of Leeds’ FA Sunday Cup hopes this weekend, writes ALEX MILLER.
Reigning Blyth & Wansbeck Sunday League champions Burradon and New Fordley travelled down from the North East to hand out the second-round thumping, which was masterminded by Sean McRoberts, who claimed four assists, and the brace-bagging Michael Chilton. Halton miss out on the chance of a trip to County Durham outfit Newton Aycliffe WMC in the third round, who include several former Newcastle United academy players in their ranks.
Attention now turns back to the Leeds Sports Centre Jubilee Premier League for the Leeds side, who currently sit in sixth having won two of their four league games.
They travel to HT Sports, who sit one place above them, on Sunday.
