NewLY promoted sides Harrogate Cosmos and Markington both suffered opening-day defeats in Division One.
The Cosmos lost 4-2 at home to local rivals Harrogate CSC, whose goals came from Liam Chapman, Phil Myles, Mark Baronovsky, above, and Henry Weemes.
Thomas Dickinson scored four as Kirk Deighton Rangers thrashed Markington 5-1.
Last year’s champions Sherwood were held to a 3-3 draw by Wetherby Athletic, with striker Joel Freeston scoring and seeing red in the same game.
Elsewhere Atlanta beat Boroughbridge 4-3 thanks to a Eddie Milstead double.
In Division Two newly promoted Navigation hammered Burton Leonard Squirrel 13-1.
Paul Abbott and Adam Haswell both scored twice for Navigation but the star man was Daniel Edmunds who scored a double hat-trick.
Bramham also got into double figures, winning 14-0 away at relegated side FC Harrogate.
Marcus Stapleton, Sam Kellegher and Reece Parker all hit hat-tricks to put Bramham top on goal difference.
In the other Division Two game Killinghill Nomads won 7-2 away at Thorner.
Alisdair Bowles scored four to guide his team to victory.
In Division Three, relegated side Headingley Rovers got their bid to go straight back up to Division Two off to a good start, winning 6-5 at home against Harold Styans.
Craig Wilson hit a hat-trick for Rovers, and Gary Hespin did the same for the Styans but it wasn’t enough for his side to snatch a point.
Tom Goldie bagged a treble to guide his Bardsey side to victory over Bramham Reserves, and Bishop Monkton sneaked to victory away at Markington Reserves with a 5-4 scoreline.
