Your Leeds United views: A good win, yes, but let's not get too carried away

Victory at Luton Town, team changes and the transfer window have been dominating debate among the Elland Road faithful

Considering the many changes this was a good win (for Leeds United over Luton Town in the League Cup) and a win is a win after all.

But let’s not get too carried away as 95 per cent of the team who played last night (Tuesday) won’t be in the first-team squad for the Forest match on Saturday.

This will increase the feel-good factor at the club and, hopefully, spur the first 11 into performing again on Saturday against Forest in the knowledge there is increased competition for places.

I am glad we won, and it was a good run-out for players who haven’t figured in the first several games of the season.

But let’s not forget it was Luton and the League Cup.

Personally, I don’t really care what happens in the League Cup and am more concerned about the Championship and picking up points in what is going to be a difficult season, especially when you consider some of the teams and coaches plying their trade in it this season.

But, well done guys, we are on a roll at the moment albeit with a degree of cautious optimism. MOT!

All quiet on the ‘knocking’ front

Very strange ... where are all the usual posters?

When we (Leeds United) lose they are all ‘in the know’ on how bad the team and Garry Monk are!

Just goes to show how much they support the team!

Don’t worry, one slip up from the team and they will reappear. Hilarious.

Well done to Monk and the players.

Encouraged by Monk’s approach

Garry Monk (the Leeds United head coach) is right to change the team.

Previous coaches have selected their favourites no matter how well or badly they have played. Monk will learn quickly what each squad player is capable of adding. I am encouraged by his approach.

Team changes ‘a great call’

I absolutely ‘did one’ when I saw the team sheet (Luton Town v Leeds United in the League Cup); thought we were asking for trouble.

But great call by Garry Monk and a great goal by Tyler Denton.

I don’t want a ‘big team’ in the next round, something winnable will do for me – and will get us on a confidence-boosting roll.
