Northumberland’s Michael Oliver is a rising star in the Select Group ranks.

Oliver recently became the youngest ever Premier League referee having previously broken the record for the youngest Football League official.

He is somewhat prone to controversy but no blame was laid at his door after United’s 4-0 defeat to Cardiff in October.

More telling was his dismissal of three visiting players during Leeds’ 4-1 rout of MK Dons at Elland Road on April 24, 2010 - a key result in United’s promotion from League One.
