Check out our at a glance guide to Leeds United’s away clash against Rotherham United.
Matt Derbyshire v Giuseppe Bellusci. As they have been all season, Leeds were a touch susceptible to deliveries into their box during a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday before the international break. Stevie May had two excellent chances to score from close range before Bellusci, inset, equalised late in the game, and Derbyshire will poach goals if the supply to him is good.
MILLERS KEY MAN
Kari Arnason. Icelandic international Arnason is a mainstay in of Rotherham’s defence. He’s faced a quick turnaround this week after playing in Iceland’s win over Holland on Monday.
LAST TIME AT ROTHERHAM UNITED
Wednesday, Oct 8, 2008. Johnstone’s Paint Trophy quarter-final: Rotherham 4 Leeds United 2. Goals: Rotherham – Sharps 17, Hudson 44, Broughton 48, Fenton 53. Leeds – Howson 31, Showunmi 56.
PHIL HAY’S VERDICT
Rotherham have been scratching around for goals in the Championship and the loss of Becchio will hardly help to shore up their record in that area of the pitch. Leeds are less reliable away from home than they are at Elland Road but they looked neat and tidy against Reading and Sheffield Wednesday so Darko Milanic can hope for progress and a first win as head coach.
Top odds. Home win – 6/5; draw – 5/2; away win – 13/5.
