GOALKEEPER Bailey Peacock-Farrell is being lined up for a loan move away from Elland Road with Oldham Athletic leading the race to sign him.

Peacock-Farrell looks set to depart Leeds United on a season-long deal in the next 24 hours after the club strengthened their goalkeeping ranks by recruiting Felix Wiedwald from Werder Bremen last week.

Leeds see Peacock-Farrell as a future prospect but he has played only once for the club’s first team - against Queens Park Rangers in April 2016 - and rarely featured in the club’s matchday squad last season.

Peacock-Farrell has 12 months left on his contract at Elland Road but the YEP understands that Leeds intend to extend that agreement before sending him elsewhere.

Oldham are one of several sides who have been monitoring Peacock-Farrell, who was called up to a training camp by Northern Ireland coach Michael O’Neill earlier this year.
